Remember the very first episode of Pokémon, when an awed Ash spots a shining bird flying through a rainbow in the sky?
Well, that bird was Ho-Oh -- basically the Mewtwo of Generation II -- and we have some splendid news about the beast: he's now been made available to catch in Pokémon GO.

Ho-Oh was released in legendary raid battles on Monday. It wasn't long before people were gleefully sharing screenshots and videos of the mighty red bird.

To have a crack at catching Ho-Oh, you need to enter a legendary raid battle against him (Ho-Oh will hatch out of a black egg at the top of random gyms).
If your group manages to defeat Ho-Oh, you'll get a chance to catch him.
Just think how jealous Ash will be.
