The delightful scourge of Pokémon Go players is surely here to stay.

Now that the augmented reality mobile game has been released, it's quickly consumed the lives of grown adults who have started wandering their cities in search of wild Pokémon.

While players have had plenty of fun catching Pokémon in lots of crappy places, others have had to face dilemmas on whether they should enter certain places to become the very best, like no-one ever was.

Well, you can count on Australian supermarket chain Woolworths to let wannabe trainers into their stores.

They've posted a little guide on where to find wild Pokémon in its stores on their Facebook page, dropping a hint that Pikachu can be found near the batteries and lightbulbs, while also pointing out that there are too many Zubats everywhere. Damn right.

That's in contrast to the Northern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services. They told players they don't need to enter the Darwin Police Station in a Facebook post on Tuesday, which features as a PokéStop in the game.

"Please be advised that you don't actually have to step inside in order to gain the pokeballs," the post reads. Police also warned of the distracting nature of the game, telling players to be aware of their surroundings while on their quest.

"It's also a good idea to look up, away from your phone and both ways before crossing the street. That Sandshrew isn't going anywhere fast. Stay safe and catch 'em all!" Good advice.
