People are sharing their favourite Pokémon memories and it's a total nostalgia fest

If you were the kind of recklessly uncool child that I was, you'll have spent at least 90% of your youth furiously trying to complete your Pokémon collection.

Hey, maybe you still are. There's no shame in it.

Anyway, what good is a childhood spent making friends with make-believe creatures if you can't at least get nostalgic about it once in a while?

On Tuesday (aka Pokémon Day), Nintendo invited everyone to do exactly that.

The good people of Twitter did not disappoint. Cue some seriously fond (and occasionally frustrating) Pokémon memories.

And finally this one, the mere thought of which literally made me shudder.

Never stop catching 'em all.
