Police respond to 911 call, find family watching 'The Walking Dead'

Officers surrounded the house, only to discover that this terrifying scene was just some modern day zombie-killing family bonding time.

Just turn your TV down, folks. 

A concerned citizen who heard screaming coming from their neighbor's house called 911, only for police to discover the family was just enjoying the mid-season premiere of AMC's hit show, The Walking Dead.

According to the Great Falls Tribune, police in Great Falls, Mont. responded to a 911 call at approximately 7:28 p.m. on Sunday from a concerned neighbor who heard "screaming from a house about someone having a gun." Another caller aided police in helping locate the house where the screams were coming from.

The family was watching the mid-season premiere of The Walking Deadwhich takes place in a post-apocalyptic world filled with flesh-eating zombies. 

When police arrived, they heard "loud talking" and observed "flashing lights" inside the residence, according to the call notes. Inside, two adults and several children were discovered safe, watching TV with the windows open.

“We had a whole bunch of guys on that one," GFPD Sgt. Brian McGraw told the Tribune.

No report was filed and no one was charged in the incident.
