Everyone can rest easy: there are no monsters in Longmont, Colorado.

One police officer in the town checked the house of a 4-year-old girl who was nervous about her new home.

“She met Officer [David] Bonday and asked him if he would come search for monsters in our house,” Megan Fahrenbruch told KDVR about her daughter Sidney.

The police officer joined Sidney on a walk through the family's home with a flashlight.

"She just checked under the couch, but he wanted to make sure there weren’t any under the couch cushions,” Fahrenbruch said.“And then they ended up going in the front yard to make sure there was no monster activity in the front yard.”

Sidney was nervous because of noises in the house.

“Well, cause I heard sounds when people weren’t up,” she told the TV station.

Luckily, the search came up clear.
