Pornhub wants to teach old people how to have safe sex
Older people have the wisdom of experience, but that doesn't mean they know how to have safe sex.
Pornhub, the massive porn platform, is aiming to fix that. Today they’re launching “Old School,” a sex-ed campaign especially for the elderly. It’s meant to increase sexual health awareness among the senior set, who unsurprisingly like to get it on just as much as the rest of us.
If you don’t spend much time in retirement communities, you might not have thought too hard about this issue. But it turns out sexually-transmitted infections are actually on the rise among older people. Since they’re not concerned about pregnancy (sweet freedom!), they’re often not using birth control -- and, you guessed it, that means STIs can spread like wildfire.

To address this, Pornhub has made a 15-minute video starring Nina Hartley, a registered nurse, sex educator, and porn star. The goal is to inform the assisted living set about how to prevent STI transmission and treat them, but they’re also offering some senior-friendly sex tips.
Just to make sure the video accessible to everyone, even those who aren’t so internet savvy, they’re also giving away VHS copies. Talk about a throwback.
This isn’t Pornhub’s first foray into sex ed. They also launched a Sexual Wellness Center earlier this year to teach their less experienced users about the basics of intimacy and healthy relationships. But now they've turned their attention to the other end of the age spectrum.
The only real drawback here is that it could lead to you having to help your grandpa or grandma use their computer to find this video.
