In a world full of superheroes, it's easily to feel powerless -- which is precisely the premise of NBC's new superhero series; a workplace comedy that proves you don't have to have special abilities to save the day.

Powerless stars Vanessa Hudgens, Alan Tudyk, Danny Pudi, Ron Funches and Christina Kirk as employees of Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Industries (yes, Wayne as in Bruce, aka Batman) which develops products that are designed to keep regular joes safe when supervillains attack.

Hudgens stars as Emily, the optimistic new Director of Research and Development for Wayne Security. Tudyk -- of scene-stealing Firefly and Rogue One fame -- plays her boss, Van Wayne, cousin of Bruce, who is desperate to score a job at the Gotham office by developing a product that will pique the boss' interest.

There are numerous TV series and films set in the DC Comics universe -- the events of Batman v Superman and its cinematic spinoffs (Suicide Squad, the upcoming Wonder Woman) are separate from the worlds of Gotham, Lucifer and The Flash, and Powerless is no exception -- taking place on "Earth-P," as the executive producers have taken to calling it, just one of many universes in the DC multiverse.

Check out an exclusive clip from the series below, to get a sense of some of the groundbreaking products Wayne Security is working on.

Powerless premieres Thursday, Feb 2 at 8:30 p.m. on NBC.
