Let's face it: it's extremely hot outside. If you don't already have a smart thermostat, it might be time to get one. That way, you don't have to worry about whether someone's setting the temperature indoors too high (so you're sweltering) or too low (so you're on the Arctic indoors). Luckily for you, Prime Day 2024 is here, and that means you can score a great thermostat for less.

As of July 17, the Google Nest Thermostat is on sale for just $84.38. That's a discount of 35%, and $45.61 off its normal price of $129.99. Keep in mind that while this model is designed to work independently of a C-wire, you may end up requiring one depending on how your home is set up. So while this is an affordable smart thermostat on its own, if you don't know what that means or how to install one, installation is better left to the professionals who can get everything set up the way you need it.

This smart thermostat is all about helping you save on your energy bills (and is Energy Star-certified). Set it to the temperature you want, and then it'll handle the rest. You can make any potential tweaks in the accompanying app, and the thermostat will handle things from there. It can turn on and off when you need to save energy, and the app lets you control additional functions as well, even when you're not home.

For under $100, being able to take a hands-off approach to your heating and cooling should be a load off of your shoulders. Grab this thermostat and see how it works out for you while you can as the final hours of Prime Day approach.
