When it comes to house (or apartment) keeping, two things are certain — the laundry hamper will never be empty and the floors could always use a sweep. If you dread the chore of cleaning the floors or stepping on cookie crumbs in the kitchen, Amazon Prime Day has something special in store today.

As of July 16, the Robotrock S8 Max Ultra robot vacuum and mop with self-emptying base is on sale for $1,199.99 for Amazon Prime members, marked down from the standard price of $1,599.99. That's a savings of $400 or a 25% discount.

It's no longer Jetson-era technology — you really can have a robot vacuum that does it all for you. The Roborock S8 Max Ultra can vacuum, mop, and dry your floors. And thanks to its self-emptying base, you won't have to constantly empty debris or refill it with water.

The Roborock S8 Max Ultra adds in some technology that makes it an ideal floor-cleaning machine, like a FlexiArm side brush that can tackle cleaning corners and obstacle avoidance so your slippers won't get pushed into the other room. With 8000Pa suction, the robot vacuum and mop combo is designed to clean both hard floors and carpets. You can also set it on a deep-cleaning cycle which vacuums in a zig-zag pattern instead of taking a single pass.

When it comes to mopping, the Roborock S8 Max Ultra can heat water to up to 140 degrees F to wipe away kitchen floor spills or messes under the dining room table. It also uses warm air to dry the freshly-mopped floors, so you won't have to come home to wet floors. Through the companion app, you'll be able to control the robot's schedule or select custom settings.

Keep in mind you'll need to be signed up and logged in as an Amazon Prime member to score this discounted price. If you're not already a Prime member, you can sign up for a monthly membership for $14.99 or an annual plan for $139. Not only will this give you access to tons of Prime-exclusive deals during Prime Day, but you'll also be eligible for any future invite-only Prime deals.

If you've been eyeing a robot vacuum that can also mop and comes with a self-emptying base, the sale price on the Roborock S8 Max Ultra puts it in line as a solid contender. Both your schedule and your clean floors will appreciate the upgraded.
