Prince, who made everything he touched more exciting, is colliding with the holiday spirit this December.

A few fans are honoring the Purple One, who passed away in April, by decorating "Princemas trees" -- festive holiday firs adorned with everything from purple bulbs to a delightful Prince tree topper.

Indiana woman Lish Laynette was one of the first to post a Princemas tree on social media, sharing it to her Facebook account last week.

"As you grow older and lose people holidays (life in general) can be tough for anyone," she wrote. "I figured maybe buying a tree would help ward off the depression I felt coming. Making it a Prince themed tree was a last minute joke/decision but looking at it makes me smile and laugh every day."

Laynette also implored readers to check in on their loved ones during the holidays. "Let them know you love them...care for them," she wrote. "With all of the racism and hate in the world, spread good."

Inspired by Laynette's message -- and her badass purple tree -- people began to share the photo with their own friends. Then, other Princemas trees started to show up, with fans sharing pics of Prince cookies, Prince ornaments, even a decked-out Prince house.

Purple lights, purple lights.

UPDATE: Dec. 7, 2016, 4:44 p.m. EST An earlier version of this story stated that the first "Princemas" tree mentioned belonged to Atlanta comedian Darrell Joyce. In fact, it belongs to Lish Laynette, who shared it on Facebook several hours before.
