Twitter reacts to Prince's death with shock and heartbreak

Following the earth-shaking deaths of celebrity icons like David Bowie, Alan Rickman and Garry Shandling, 2016 delivered another blow -- this time taking the life of legendary musician Prince on April 21.

Within minutes of his death's confirmation, reactions began to flood Twitter as his fans, celebrity and otherwise, described their heartbreak and loss.
