Prince's sister files to be estate executor, says he didn't leave a will
LOS ANGELES -- Prince's younger sister Tyka Nelson filed to become executor of his estate Tuesday, saying in court documents obtained by Mashable that the musical icon did not leave a will -- setting up what could become a complicated tangle to distribute his considerable assets.
Filed Tuesday in District Court in Carver County, Minnesota, the documents ask that Bremer Trust, a St. Cloud-based wealth management company that had been handling Prince's riches for years, be named temporary administrator.

Tyka Nelson, who is two years younger than the late musician, would then become executor. Her filings list herself, three half brothers and three half sisters (one of whom is deceased) as potential heirs.
Prince only had one child, with then-wife Mayte Garcia, in 1996. The boy, named Boy Gregory, was born with Pfieffer Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that affects the growth of the skull. He died one week later.
