Just hours after music legend Prince died on Thursday, Google honored his legacy with a commemorative doodle.

The specially designed header is a purple-colored Google logo with animated raindrops in the background -- a nod to the musician's iconic Purple Rain album and film. When clicked, it returns Google search results for "Prince music."
The 57-year-old singer was found dead Thursday morning at his Paisley Park compound near Minneapolis.
Tributes to his celebrated four-decade career have poured out from all corners of the world as fans come to terms with the untimely loss.
Google regularly decks out its homepage with commemorative doodles to celebrate holidays, mark birthdays and historic occasions or weigh in on current events.
