An amazing professor took care of his student's child during class when she couldn't find a babysitter

People like this make life so much easier.

When life gets in the way of your best laid plans, sometimes all you need is a simple act of kindness.

That is exactly what happened to single mom and Texas A&M University student Ashton Robinson, who wasn't able to find a last-minute sitter for her son, Emmett. She was worried she'd have to miss class, but a simple offer from her professor saved the day.

In a post on Facebook, Ashton says she notified her professor, Dr. Henry Musoma, via e-mail about her childcare situation. He then called her and told her to bring her son to class.

But it didn't stop there. When Ashton brought Emmet along, Dr. Musoma looked after him as he taught his lecture so that Ashton was free to pay attention to what he was saying.

Talk about going above and beyond.
