Inauguration festivities are getting underway on Thursday afternoon in Washington, D.C., ahead of Friday's swearing-in of Donald Trump.

Among the events today are a wreath-laying ceremony and the welcome concert at the Lincoln Memorial, featuring Toby Keith, 3 Doors Down, and a giant jumbotron blocking many attendees' view of Lincoln.

But the Toronto Star's Daniel Dale spotted a lone protester among the people lined up for today's concert, holding a sign that shows how a lot of people are feeling this week. It simply read: "This is fucked up."

He was spotted by a few others hanging around the area, too.

While reports of protesters at today's events have been scarce, there have been some spotted, setting the stage for the large wave of protesters to come this weekend.
