We love all dogs, but there's a special place in our heart for the French Pug. It's hard not to gush over their squidgy face, boisterous manner and general adorableness.

They make an okay racing dog too. And while they'll never match the speeds of a greyhound, at least you can count on pugs to be entertaining.

50 pugs sprinted down City Walk in Canberra, Australia, on Monday as part of the Christmas in the City celebrations.

The track was 15 metres long, and owners were encouraged to dress up their dogs.

To help their precious pugs get across the finish line, people could bring a toy or favourite item to use during the race.

Anyway, you're just here for the pugs, right? Witness their cuteness.
