Terrifying dancing PuppyMonkeyBaby has inspired the Internet

The breakout hit of Super Bowl night is this awful creature.

Can't unsee it.

That seems to be the general social media sentiment behind Mountain Dew's Super Bowl ad, which stars a dancing puppy-monkey-baby hybrid. Yes you read that right: it has the face of the puppy, the torso of a monkey, and the legs and diaper of a baby.

The neon soda maker's nightmare-inducing ad was its Super Bowl debut, and it's trending on Twitter — for all the wrong reasons.

After the ad aired during the second quarter, everyone turned to Twitter to share their thoughts on the ad. Pretty much everyone on Twitter agreed that 1) #puppymonkeybaby deserves some sort of synonym for creepy, and 2) the people at Mountain Dew were definitely on some sort of drug trip when the creature was conceived.

And #puppymonkeybaby already has several parody Twitter accounts.

One lists its location as "hell." 


















Well, seems like these scare tactics do make for some brilliant advertising. We certainly won't be able to forget #puppymonkeybaby anytime soon.
