The UK's best-selling album of all time is appropriately regal.

Queen's Greatest Hits, released in 1981, has earned the honor of the top-selling album in UK history, according to Official Charts. The site compiled a list of the top 60 albums to commemorate the 60 year anniversary of the Official Charts launch.

“What a great bit of news to wake up to!" guitarist Brian May told OC. "The most popular album? Well, I always thought the band showed promise, but this is beyond our boyhood dreams!”

Drummer Roger Taylor also called the news "incredible" and "humbling."

Greatest Hits passed a major milestone back in 2014, becoming the first album to sell 6 million copies in the UK, thanks to timeless tracks like "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "We Are the Champions."

Funnily enough, the band cracks the top 60 list once again, nabbing the tenth spot with Greatest Hits II

Here's a look at the overall top 10.

  1. Greatest Hits -- Queen

  2. Gold -- Greatest Hits -- ABBA

  3. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band -- The Beatles

  4. 21 -- Adele

  5. What's the Story Morning Glory -- Oasis

  6. Thriller -- Michael Jackson

  7. The Dark Side of the Moon -- Pink Floyd

  8. Brothers in Arms -- Dire Straits

  9. Bad -- Michael Jackson

  10. Greatest Hits II -- Queen
