The Queen always has an answer. In the wake of the Brexit vote and the chaos that ensued -- the pound plummeting, political uncertainty, social instability, financial crash, etc. -- she's a rock in troubling times.

Just look at what she told Northern Ireland's first minister Martin McGuinness when he enquired how she was doing.

"Well, I'm still alive anyway," she replied with a smile.

"Ha, we've been quite busy. There's been quite a lot going on," the Queen added, and you might think the monarch is referring to one of the biggest decisions in Britain's history, the referendum on its membership in the European Union.

Well, you're wrong. With a swift, very royal change of tone, Elizabeth reveals she's just referring to her personal life: "I've had two birthdays, so we've been quite busy. Absolutely."

Keep calm and carry on, Queen style. That's exactly what the nation needs at the moment.
