LONDON -- Some things in this world are just not meant to be seen.

On Tuesday night, a perfectly adorable new photo of the British Royal Family was released on social media.

Pretty sweet, right?

Standing side-by-side, Prince George and his great-grandmother make the perfect pair.

The problem is, nothing is sacred on the Internet for long.

Just to make sure there was no funny business going on we recreated the face swap, and got exactly the same result:

Then again, that picture's odd for a couple of reasons. At first glance it's pretty disturbing, but if you look past the strangeness of it you can sort of tell how alike Prince George and the Queen actually look (or, at least, how much like his great gran the little Prince might look when he's older).

Either way, it's not as bad as what happens if you face swap the Queen and her son.
