'Queer Eye' expert Bobby Berk is helping people get their 'Animal Crossing' houses in shape

Animal Crossing for the Nintendo Switch has become a de facto replacement for social interaction and being outside in the time of social isolation. Much of the fun of Animal Crossing is the freedom it gives its players to be creative in designing their homes and islands, a freedom only limited by the bells in their wallets, the DIYs on their Nookphone...and perhaps a general lack of design sense.

Enter Queer Eye star Bobby Berk, whose home transformations are nothing short of miraculous on the Netflix show (and are often the best part of every episode). Queer Eye's official Twitter account put out a call for Animal Crossing players struggling with designing their island houses to reply to their thread and receive advice from thee Mr. Berk himself.

Some of the rooms fans submitted were already gorgeous and impressed Bobby immediately.

Others just needed a few tweaks. A rug here, a sitting area there...

Others were just confusing. Coming from Bobby, who has seen everything in the pre-makeover segments of Queer Eye, that's not great.

And one person's Animal Crossing room was so cluttered Bobby called on another Netflix home expert to take the wheel.

The rest of the thread has some great design tips from Bobby, as well as just a bunch of pictures of really well-designed rooms to delight and inspire your own Animal Crossing decor journey. Can you believe?
