Stoners on Reddit are trying to mobilize a litter clean-up initiative

Don't toke Mother Earth for granted.

Stoners tend to have the stereotype of being lazy and lacking ambition in life. But one enthusiastic cannabis consumer trying to start a clean-up initiative is putting those outdated assumptions to shame.

Redditor PRV_Psychonaut posted a call to action in the r/Trees subreddit on Monday, asking their fellow ents to join them in making an effort to help clean up trash.

"Didn't even take me 5 minutes to pick this up at a common smokespot. Let's keep the movement going!" wrote PRV_Psychonaut.

Other Redditors responded to the post enthusiastically, applauding the efforts and vowing to make a similar effort. A couple of people even shared the ways in which they've helped clean up trash in the past.

Csquaredisrippn said: "I was cleaning beach sites this past weekend and camp sites last weekend. It takes no time at all guys. If you are gonna smoke, you could take a couple grocery bags with you and make a difference."

Others on Reddit have similarly shared their efforts to promote a, um, greener planet.

Like this guy filling his truck full of waste for "the love of Earth."

Or, this multitasker who likes to smoke, walk their dog, and pick up trash in the morning.

Then there's this person making sure their smoke and fishing spot remains untarnished by waste.

And this friend of Mother Earth, making sure their smoke spot is cleaner than when they got there.

Heroes, every one of them. We applaud you stoners, thanks for your help!
