You may assume the star of the 2018 Winter Olympics would be one of the many talented athletes competing for their countries, but you'd be wrong.

The real star of the Olympics is none other than Hollywood's lovable actress, Reese Witherspoon.

While we're all glued to our television sets cheering on athletes, the athletes themselves are busy cheering on the Home Again star. As it should be, TBH.

Last week, in anticipation of the Winter Games, Witherspoon called everyone's attention to the greatness that is 28-year-old American figure skater Adam Rippon.

The actress dubbed the the first openly gay American athlete in the Winter Olympics the "Reason #1 to watch," and he excitedly replied by pitching her an idea for a movie.

In Rippon's dream film, Reese, played by herself, would tweet Rippon in the middle of the night and he would "die immediately." Based on a true story, people.

On Sunday Rippon's life got even better when he went on to help Team USA win the bronze medal in the team figure skating event.

In an interview when asked what he's feeling when he goes out onto the ice, Rippon replied, "I want to represent my country to the best of my abilities. I want to make Reese Witherspoon proud." EXTREME SAME.

It seems Rippon achieved both of his goals, because Reese tweeted him congratulations, sharing how proud he makes her.

He's not the only athlete on #TeamReese this year, though. Olympic figure skater Mirai Nagasu also showed her love for the actress/lifestyle brand/best person in the world.

After Nagasu became the first American woman to complete a triple axel in the games on Sunday, Reese tweeted about her making history. Nagasu, like any of us would, replied, confessing she watched Home Again on the way to the Olympics (amazing choice) and wishes Reese was her mom. 😭

"You're my hero," Nagasu told the actress, to which Reese responded, "You're MY hero!!"

We are 1,000 percent here for the Reese Witherspoon Olympics and when the games are over we should all fill the void by watching Home Again over and over.
