#RefugeesWelcome projected on cliffs of Dover ahead of far-right rally
LONDON -- Pro-migrants campaigners have projected #RefugeesWelcome in giant letters across the white cliffs of Dover, in south-east England.
It comes as a coalition of right-wing protesters are expected to gather on Apr. 2 to protest against the influx of refugees and migrants in the country.

Campaign organisation Global Justice Now teamed up with Feral X for the projection, which could be spotted against the well-known cliffs on Thursday.
“Far right groups are coming to Dover to fan the flames of hatred and xenophobia, often generating a lot of media coverage in the process," Nick Dearden, the director of Global Justice Now said.
"But across the UK thousands of groups and communities are acting in many different ways to offer practical and personal support to refugees who have fled desperate circumstances to get here.
"Last night’s projection, alongside these efforts across the country, presents an alternative vision of the UK, one built on compassion, solidarity and recognition of common humanity.”
The previous far-right march in Dover resulted in heavy clashes between right-wing and anti-racist groups.
Several coaches were damaged and one man was arrested as the two opposing sides faced each other at a service station near Dover.
The tension continued in the centre of Dover as the demonstrations proceeded.
The group was demonstrating against the arrival of refugees to the country, and the anti-racism group had organised a counter protest.
The right-wing group allegedly used sticks and debris found around the service station to attack, according to a witness from the opposing group.
At least one coach window was smashed and a swastika was drawn on a coach, allegedly in blood.
In the light of previous confrontations, the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) issued an alert for journalists "stay vigilant" during Saturday's protest.
"In advance of the event, the union has been alerted to threats against journalists," the union said with a statement.
