LONDON -- There are some things in this world that are just inexplicably brilliant -- and one of those things happens to be animals balancing random objects on their heads.

We know from experience that dogs are the kings of this type of activity, but as of Monday we have a new challenger to the crown -- a very small, very smiley baby caiman with a powerful Cheerio-balancing ability.

But let's rewind for a second. The "Cheerios Challenge" has been going on for a few days now, and it originally involved dads balancing cereal on the heads of their sleeping babies.

Yep, that's a baby caiman balancing seven Cheerios on its head.

And in case you're thinking that's not a real reptile, there was also a video clip of the mini croc doing the same thing with a flower.

Surely no one can top that?

UPDATE: July 23, 2021, 11:34 a.m. AEST The embedded video of the mini croc with a flower has been removed from this story as it is unfortunately no longer available.
