There's only one way for this to end, and it's most likely going to include zombies.

As Resident Evil slowly moves towards virtual reality, one can only ponder what the future may hold.

Zombies that you can shoot with a realistic gun peripheral? Check. Nintendo style power gloves that let you feel the impact of every zombie you punch in their undead face? It’s possible! A Star Trek style holodeck where you get to fight off the impending hoard of the undead? Unlikely, but that'd be pretty amazing.

No, the future we see for Resident Evil video games is the inevitable take over of sentient robots that use our love of zombies as a bioweapon against us.

Soon, our favorite video game series will become a reality and we'll be fighting both robots and zombies. One can only hope that we have an abundance of healing herbs laying around, this robot/zombie future is going to be a scary place.
