Rickie Fowler brought the Ryder Cup trophy to Arnold Palmer's memorial
During his playing days, golf legend Arnold Palmer led the United States squad to seven Ryder Cup victories.
So after Rickie Fowler and the U.S. team won the Ryder Cup for the first time since 2008 this past weekend, it was only right for them to pay respects to The King, who died last week of heart complications.
On his way to Palmer's memorial service in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, Fowler let his Twitter followers know where the Ryder Cup trophy was headed.

Palmer died just five days before the Ryder Cup teed off. Between crowds chanting his name and his golf bag on the first tee, the tournament honored one of golf's greatest ambassadors.
The United States winning it all was the perfect way to wrap up a weekend of Palmer tributes. On Tuesday, Fowler, Bubba Watson and Phil Mickelson delivered the cup to Palmer, as promised.
“Mr. Palmer is The King for what he did inside the ropes and away from golf," Fowler told USA Today. "He’s remembered around the world."
