Rolls-Royce's new limited edition Wraith Kryptos is about to dig into the lucrative ultra-rich crypto nerd market. Assuming such a thing exists, of course.

The Wraith Kryptos is more or less a regular Rolls-Royce Wraith, only it's adorned with an encrypted puzzle that only two people at the company know the answer to.

Owners who are interested in cracking the code will be able to submit potential answers through a members-only Rolls-Royce app called Whispers.

The car is also adorned with numerous green details that resemble code, which will appeal to owners of Alienware laptops and fans of The Matrix. True to the car's mysterious branding, Rolls-Royce says that the car's Anthracite base color has a special effect, visible only in sunlight.

“The name Kryptos is derived from Ancient Greek, referring to something unseen, hidden and coded, mythical even. Ciphers can be traced through millennia, capturing the imagination of some of the world’s most brilliant minds," said the car's designer, Karin Lehmann.

The emphasis on cryptography might sound odd in the context of a high-end luxury car. However, it should be noted that cryptocurrencies have turned many people into millionaires in recent years, and I bet many of them will fancy the Rolls-Royce Wraith Kryptos.

There's no word on the price, but standard Wraith models start at about $330,000, so don't expect the limited-edition Kryptos to be cheaper than that.

Only 50 of these bad boys will ever be available, so if the price sounds alright to you, hurry up. You can find more information about the car, and the secrets it hides, here.
