A new documentary about ASMR from Rooster Teeth wants you to feel the tingles

Rooster Teeth's documentary division is delving into the world of autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR).

The Austin-based production company behind hits such as Red vs. Blue gave Mashable a sneak peak at the trailer (above) of part one of the doc.

It follows Rooster Teeth co-founder Burnie Burns and The Slow Mo Guys' Gavin Free, who talk about their experiences with ASMR.

ASMR is a unique condition characterized by tingling sensations along the scalp neck and shoulder when triggered by certain sounds.

The World's Greatest Head Massage: An ASMR Journey is Rooster Teeth's two-part documentary that investigates the world of ASMR and the "artists" who make content online. 

Rooster Teeth, which was acquired by digital entertainment company Fullscreen in 2014, was founded in 2003.

Since then, the company has amassed more than 20 million subscribers to its YouTube channels, as well as 3 million unique monthly visitors to its RoosterTeeth.com hub and 1.8 million registered community members.

Part 1 of the documentary premieres on July 8, exclusively for Rooster Teeth sponsors.
