Yeah, sports!

It's a good, A-plus feeling when you and your chums score a goal, touchdown or try in sportsball, so why not celebrate the momentous occasion?

That's what rugby league player Aaron Woods was at least trying to do Wednesday night. Woods attempted to leap into the embrace of his teammates after the New South Wales Blues scored a last gasp try to win the third State of Origin match in Sydney.

Sadly, that jump saw him plunge to the ground in a heap. Please watch the moment in all its terribly awkward and hilarious glory.

How about another angle?

Woods explained after the game why his celebration failed so hard -- it was his immense athletic ability.

"Oh mate, I've never jumped that high in my life. The amount of airtime I got, it gave the boys enough time to get out of the way," he told Fox Sports.

"I tried to just lay on the ground and put my arms up as if no one had seen me, but there was about 65,000 who did. I just missed and I'm going to cop it for a long time now."

Maybe it's best to just stick to high fives.
