Remember the time last summer that Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte claimed he was robbed at gunpoint during a night out in Rio, and then it came out that he'd lied and, in fact, he and his Team USA swim buddies had vandalized a gas station, and as a result were made to serve suspensions and forfeit various awards, and ultimately came out of the whole ordeal looking like privileged jerks?

Well, Lochte would prefer it if he could just put all that behind him, thanks!

In an effort to get that underway, Lochte now stars in PowerBar's new Clean Start campaign, in which the swimmer attempts to leave his indiscretions in the past.

And if we're on the subject, Lochte would also like the world to forget about his ill-considered bleached hair. Not his biggest mistake by a long shot, but still, not great.

The next time you find your mind wandering back to the lies Lochte told in an attempt to cover up his poor life decisions, just remember that he'd really appreciate it if you'd just let it go. He has, and that's all that matters.
