Jake Gyllenhaal is the only good thing about this Ryan Reynolds GQ interview

I will take any excuse to get Ryan Reynolds’ gorgeous face on my computer screen – but I’m not quite sure if this GQ video was worth it.

Reynolds was named GQ’s man of the year, so he sat down with Gordon Reynolds, his “twin,” to chat. And unfortunately, Gordon got homophobic and misogynistic pretty quickly.

"Looks like we've got two beards in the room," Ryan jokes to Gordon.

"Three if you count your wife," Gordon replies without missing a beat, implying that Ryan is gay, and further implying that calling someone gay is an insult.

"What's Blake Lively like?" Gordon asks Ryan about his wife.

"Looks like we've got two beards in the room." "Three if you count your wife."

"She's wonderful," Ryan replies.

"No. What's Blake Lively like?" Gordon repeats, then sticks out his tongue suggestively, making it clear that he doesn't mean "What is Blake Lively like?" but "What does Blake Lively like?"

Gordon also calls Ryan a c*nt three times in the video – one of the most offensive terms one can call a woman.

As Liz Lemon put it on "The C Word" episode of 30 Rock, "This word is not acceptable because there's nothing you can call a guy back. There is no male equivalent to this word."

GQ has been charged with sexism in the past – over sexualizing women while rarely sexualizing men has been a point of controversy for the publication. Notable controversial moments include photoshoots featuring the cast of Glee, Lana Del Ray and a group of friends rock climbing.

So why does GQ still choose to toe this line?

The video is clearly supposed to be a joke – but satire doesn't make statements any less homophobic and sexist. GQ is still implying that it's okay to call people a c*nt, to ask men questions about their wives' sexual preferences and to call someone gay as an insult.

The video did have one pretty amazing laugh-out-loud moment – Reynolds being named GQ’s man of the year left a dejected Jake Gyllenhaal as a boom operator.
