Forget face paint, scaring the crap out of your family and friends is now going to be an easy feat with the "Turn into Sadako vs Kayako" face pack.

As part of the marketing campaign for the anticipated release of Sadako vs Kayako in Japan on June 18, the film's producers have launched face mask sheets that let you turn yourself into Sadako from The Ring or Kayako from Ju-On (known as The Grudge in the U.S).

Each face pack contains a pair of face masks imprinted with these scary leading ladies' faces. The masks are loaded with hyaluronic acid, collagen and aloe vera extracts -- ingredients that are great for anti-ageing and hydration. Scare people, check. Facial, check.

But if you want to jump onto the scare-wagon, you'll have to get your friends living in Japan to purchase the facial pack for you. They retail for 800 yen ($7) each and are available only in Japan's cinemas, drugstores and Don Quixote outlets.

The producers of Sadako vs Kayako have been working hard to promote the horror franchise crossover. Towards the end of May, we stumbled upon "Kayako's Instagram account" which documented her domesticated life with her equally creepy son, Toshio.

On Wednesday, the cast of the movie attended a baseball game at Sapporo Dome in Hokkaido, not as spectators but as special guests. The lead characters, in full costume, took to the field to open the game, showing off their impressive pitching and batting skills.

Of course, Sadako is no baseball noob. In 2013, she opened a Japanese pro league game with a first pitch while accompanied by three miniature Sadakos.

Looks like we're in for a major scarefest.
