Don't expect the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge to be cheap
Samsung's flagship phones come with a premium price tag, and that's not likely to change this year.
The starting price for the Samsung Galaxy S6 at launch was $199 with a contract and around $700 without. The curved-screen Edge variant started at around $100 more.
Judging from a rumor coming from Dutch site Tweakers, Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S7/S7 Edge phones will follow the same pattern.
According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy S7 with 32GB of storage will be available in three colors — black, gold and white — for the price of 699 euros ($787 US).

The Galaxy S7 Edge will also come in those colors and will cost a hundred euros more.
Deviations are possible, but it's pretty safe to expect those prices to line up with what the phones cost in the U.S.
The report also lists detailed specifications of the two models, which confirm the reports we've seen so far. The 5.1-inch Galaxy S7 will come with an octa-core, 2.3GHz processor, a 12-megapixel rear camera (coupled with a 5-megapixel selfie cam on the front), an SD card slot, a 3,000mAh (milliamp-hour) battery, and it will be resistant to dust and water.
The 5.5-inch Galaxy S7 Edge has the exact same specs, with one notable difference: A bigger, 3,600mAh battery.
Probably the most interesting part of the report is the lack of models with higher storage. With the ability to expand storage with microSD cards up to 200GB in size, it probably won't bother too many users, but — if true — it's still an interesting change of strategy for Samsung.
