The Samsung Galaxy S9 will have an accessory called the DeX Pad, a dock with USB, USB-C and HDMI jacks that lets you position your phone horizontally and use it as touchpad or a virtual keyboard, according to new leaks about the device.

There was talk about the DeX Pad before, but thanks to a new leak from prominent leaker of smartphone things, Evan Blass, now we know what it (probably) looks like.

Judging from the photos, the all-black matte design is utilitarian at best, but it's the type of workhorse gadget that doesn't have to be too fancy. The design appears to accommodate for both the Galaxy S9 and its bigger sibling, the Galaxy S9+ (and possibly other Samsung phones as well).

The second image is interesting as it shows us the Samsung Galaxy S9 from the bottom, revealing an interesting detail: A headphone jack. We've heard rumors about it, but this is the first visual confirmation that the Galaxy S9 has it.

For me, this is great news. Despite more and more headphones manufacturers going wireless, I still see zero advantages to not having a headphone jack on your phone. The 3.5mm connector is simple, dependable and backwards-compatible a couple decades, and if these images are representative of the final product, I'm glad Samsung hasn't ditched it.

A few days ago, Blass leaked the image of the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ in new, lilac purple color. Now, for good measure, he also shared an image of the device in coral blue color.

So is there anything we don't know about the Galaxy S9? Well, we still don't know its exact specs. Rumors say both the S9 and the S9+ will run on the new Snapdragon 845 chip, with 64GB of storage (further expandable via microSD cards). The S9+ might come with 6GB of RAM while the S9 will probably only have 4GB.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are scheduled to be officially unveiled on Feb. 25, ahead of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Mashable will be there to bring you the latest news.
