Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will get 3 major upgrades, report suggests
Samsung caught some flak recently for underwhelming new versions of its regular flagship Galaxy phone, but it sounds like the next round of foldables could be more exciting.
According to leaker Setsuna Digital on the Chinese social media site Weibo (via 9to5Google), the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 phone will have some substantial upgrades over last year's model. Namely, there are three big upgrades in this report that stand out:
Camera improvements, for both the rear camera and under-display camera
Better dust/water resistance
An improved hinge
These improvements would add onto previously rumored upgrades for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which include a thinner overall profile and a bigger display. It's also expected that Samsung will overhaul the way the S Pen accessory works in order to make the phone's body thinner. Interestingly, Setsuna Digital mentioned that battery capacity is unlikely to change, so if you didn't like the battery life in last year's phone, you might be out of luck.

Many of these changes actually came to the Galaxy Z Fold line last year in the Galaxy Z Fold SE, which only launched in Asia. Presumably, the Z Fold 7 will actually come out in other places, so those upgrades will be new to us, anyway.
