You probably already know that Samsung has officially recalled and stopped manufacturing its problem-plagued Galaxy Note7 smartphone. But if you were thinking of ignoring the warnings about the company's so-called exploding phone, a new video has popped up that may help change your mind.

Hawaii-based Note7 user Dee DeCasa shared video of the moment her family realized that its Note7 device was shooting out plumes of smoke. After DeCasa and her husband take the smoking device into what appears to be a kitchen area, DeCasa appears to suddenly collapses on a nearby couch.

DeCasa told local television station KHON that she was checking emails and surfing the internet on her replacement Note7 when, "Boom! The thing just popped and then smoke started coming out." DeCasa says that at the time the device wasn't charging or plugged into an outlet.

After KHON reached out to Samsung about the incident, the company sent the station the following statement:

We are engaged with the DeCasa family to ensure we are doing everything we can for them. Even though there are a limited number of reports, we want to reassure customers that we are taking every report seriously.

It's unclear if DeCasa's collapse is related to the smoking device, but there have been at least two confirmed hospital visits directly related to the defective device. News of the product's recall could still be reaching some Note7 owners, so in the coming days we may see more videos like the one above.

Again, if you were thinking of holding on to your beloved Note7 device, hoping the explosions are just isolated incidents, this video should get you to take the recall seriously and get that phone out of your home or office, right now.
