HQ Trivia is replacing popular host Scott Rogowsky and users miss him already
Scott Rogowsky is parting ways with HQ Trivia, marking the end of an era for the popular mobile game.
On Friday, TMZ reported that Rogowsky — the man who's hosted the app and graced users with his peppy digital presence and occasionally stylish blazers over the years — is leaving the company to host DAZN's new MLB show, ChangeUp.
Rogowsky also tweeted an announcement thread, addressing his "HQTIES" and explaining exactly why he was leaving.

"About three weeks ago, I announced that I had taken a new job hosting a new, live 'whip-around' baseball show called ChangeUp on @DAZN_USA. As a lifelong baseball fan, it was a dream opportunity that I simply couldn’t pass up," Rogowsky tweeted.
He went on to say that he'd hoped he would be able to work both hosting jobs, but it didn't work out. TMZ reported Rogowsky wanted to continue hosting weekend shows for HQ Trivia, but "CEO Rus Yusupov wouldn't budge."
"... Because I wasn’t given the courtesy of a farewell show, please allow me to use this thread to say all the things I would have said on my final broadcast," Rogowsky tweeted before thanking his HQ colleagues and fans, writing, "there will always be a special place in my heart for my HQties all across the HQniverse."
As the news that Rogowsky wouldn't be returning to HQ in any capacity began to spread, fans of him and the app tweeted their disappointment.

Host Matt Richards has been filling in since Rogowsky's last appearance on HQ Trivia, which was March 24. And while HQ might never be the same, at least you can still get your Rogowsky fix by watching ChangeUp.
