The return of MTV's Scream is upon us -- and in case you haven't heard, it's going to be a killer season (that pun never gets old).

To celebrate, MTV has unveiled some creepy new character posters, which you're seeing first on Mashable.

In case you missed the news: The thriller's sophomore season picks up several months after Season 1. Emma (Willa Fitzgerald) is still reeling from the trauma of Season 1 (same, Emma) and eager to get on with her life -- which may end up being easier said than done.

Elsewhere, Audrey is being harassed by someone who knows the truth about her connection to the killer, Brooke and Jake are hiding a secret of their own, and Noah is making massive progress in his hunt for the truth about last season's murders.

So what does all this add up to? A season that see everyone's dark secrets being brought into the light.

Check out the new season's very fitting key art below.
