The important reason why Selena Gomez and the cast of '13 Reasons Why' got matching tattoos
Selena Gomez now shares a very special and very permanent bond with a couple of members of the 13 Reasons Why cast.
Gomez, an executive producer on the Netflix show, shared an Instagram story Sunday afternoon showing off the matching tattoos she got with cast members Alisha Boe and Tommy Dorfman.
The group opted for a black semi colon, which has become a symbol for mental health awareness and suicide prevention. This coincides with the theme of 13 Reasons Why, as it tells the story of Hannah Baker, a high school student who died by suicide and leaves behind 13 cassette tapes explaining why she ended her life.
In an Instagram post by Boe, she also made special mention of Amy Bleuel, the creator of Project Semicolon who died by suicide last month.
