Let's have a moment of praise for Serena Williams: friend of Beyoncé, tennis champion, wearer of sandals with a ballgown.

When Serena Williams attended the Wimbledon Champions Dinner at Guildhall in London on Sunday, her tennis-playing feet obviously needed a break, and so she paired her sparkly gown with flat white sandals.

Williams' sandals were concealed beneath her stunning red ball gown for the most part, but luckily we have photographic evidence that she wore them.

The event took place one day after Williams' Wimbledon victory, in which she earned her 22nd Grand Slam title.
