Serena Williams is adding Silicon Valley board member to her extensive resumé.

The greatest professional tennis player of our time announced Wednesday that she'll join online-survey service SurveyMonkey's board of directors, per a release from the company.

Naturally, her first move as board member was to poll her Twitter followers on their experiences with gender pay inequality via -- what else -- her first SurveyMonkey link.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Williams indicated that she'll be focused on addressing the Valley's well-documented issues with race and gender inequality.

"I feel like diversity is something I speak to," she told the AP. "Change is always happening, change is always building. What is important to me is to be at the forefront of the change and to make it easier for the next person that comes behind me."

The tech world seems like a natural fit for Williams, whose fiancé Alexis Ohanian co-founded Reddit and whose friend Sheryl Sandberg serves as Facebook's Chief Operating Officer. As the AP notes, Sandberg's late husband Dave Goldberg was the CEO of SurveyMonkey when he died unexpectedly in 2015.
