A truck driver's Kung Fu moves have gone viral, after CCTV captured him in action against a phone thief.

The driver, named Huo, told a local news station that he was in his truck waiting for a delivery, when someone knocked on the door. Assuming that the person was there to deliver the goods, he rang his boss to confirm, when the man suddenly reached up and snatched the phone out of his hand.

The truck's camera shows the moment the thief sprung, and a street camera has also captured him calmly walking away and getting on a bike.

But when the thief made a U-turn, passing Huo's truck on the other side of the street, Huo got down from the truck, crossed over and jumped on the front of the moving bike, taking the rider down with it.

He appears to punch the thief, now tangled on the ground with his toppled bike, before the stunned rider hands over the mobile phone.

Netizens in China are hailing Huo as a Kung Fu master, not least because of his surprising athleticism, but also because the incident happened in Foshan town, Guangdong province -- the famed birthplace of the martial arts legend Wong Fei-hung.

People are also labelling him "Bruce Lee reborn," and they are joking that he's picked up Wong's signature Shadowless Kick move.

The Shadowless Kick is a quick and powerful move that Wong popularised, and has become a favourite amongst Kung Fu movie buffs.

Huo's reaction may also have been a result of losing his phone the same way thrice in two months, he told local news.
