Shannen Doherty shares honest photos of her struggle with breast cancer
Shannen Doherty is not shying away from her struggle with breast cancer.
The former 90210 and Charmed actress shared some moving and brutally honest photos on Instagram as she prepared for the next phase in her cancer treatment: shaving her head.
Doherty was diagnosed with the disease in March 2015, and formally announced she was undergoing treatment in August 2015.

According to UPROXX, Doherty made her announcement after TMZ got ahold of documents that said she was suing her former business manager for not paying her health insurance premiums. Due to lack of coverage, Doherty was not able to get a diagnosis sooner.
Doherty shared intimate moments between her, her mother Rosa and her friend, Anne Marie Kortright. There were also plenty of chocolates and cupcakes ready for extra emotional support.
