'Stranger Things' actress who plays Barb lands role in CW's Archie reboot
LOS ANGELES -- Barb fans, rejoice!
While it may take time to see "Justice for Barb" in Netflix's Stranger Things, Shannon Purser -- the actress behind the fan favorite character -- has landed a new role.
Purser will star in at least three episodes of The CW’s Archie reboot Riverdale as Ethel Muggs.

The show, developed by Roberto Aguire-Sacasa (Glee) and executive produced by Greg Berlanti (The Flash), is slated for a midseason premiere on CW.
Purser's character will reportedly have a crush on Jughead (played by Disney alum Cole Sprouse) and befriend Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Betty (Lili Reinhart).
She tweeted about the news Tuesday morning.
