'Stranger Things' actress opens up about a dark part of her past
As Shannon Purser, a.k.a. Barb on Stranger Things, was cleaning out her room Monday, she found old headshots, a Nintendo DS and something that reminded her of a dark time in her life.
She turned to Twitter to share her finding and disclose her history with self-harm.
Purser posted a photo of a blade, which she said she was throwing away.
"*TRIGGER WARNING* I haven't self-harmed in years, but I kept this around, 'just in case.' I forgot it was there & now it's in the trash," she wrote.
