A man was filmed capturing a small shark from the ocean in Palm Beach, Florida and snapping selfies with the fish before releasing it.

WPTV reporter Ashleigh Walters first shared the video on her Facebook page. The man-bun-sporting beachgoer can be seen pulling the shark from the water, and dragging it to shore.

The man then posed with the fish for a few pictures before returning it to the ocean.

On her Facebook post, Walters states that after the clip ended the shark was put further into the water, adding that "it did not resurface for several minutes."

It appears as if the shark may have been caught using a fishing pole, which can be seen in the clip. But despite this being a normal practice for catch and release fisherman, the public was still outraged.

Comments on Facebook ranged from outcry to calling people "cry babies."

Part of the outrage stems from an event that happened just last week. A dolphin was captured from a beach in Argentina, passed around between multiple tourists and eventually died.
