NEW YORK – At Thursday's Todd Snyder fashion show, there were a slew of random celebs who filled the front row.

Heartthrobs like James Marsden rubbed elbows with teen social models -- like Luka Sabbat -- as well as actors like Kellan Lutz, if he still counts.

Sitting among them was another familiar face, a specimen whose arms bulged out of the small tank top he was sporting.

It was none other than Shaun T, the fitness guru behind the insanely popular workout series, "Insanity."

If you thought his appearance sitting front row at a fashion show was pleasantly strange, if not random, it totally was.

Of course, we all know Shaun T as the guy whose rippling abs put us all to shame. He's the same dude who coined the term "dig deeper," while he instructs viewers at home to jump higher and squat lower.

So what was the popular trainer doing at a place like Todd Snyder's show?

"I came here to support, Todd is one of my favorite designers," he told Mashable. "I was an ambassador back in February."

The strangest part of fashion week for the 38-year-old? For a newbie, it wasn't the clothes, rather, the lack-there-of.

"I'm not used to wearing clothes so being here wearing so much is weird," he explained. "I had to stick with my brand and wear a tank top."

As for the fashion crowd, they, according to Shaun T, looked pretty decent covered up.

"I love the styles of everyone," he said. Though he did suggest that some needed to dig deeper into their own lives more than just what they were wearing.

"People need to dig deeper all the time whether it's fashion, fitness, food or relationships," he said. "Dig deeper all the time."

For a rather underwhelming fashion week with the same monotonous faces in attendance, Shaun T's unexpected appearance was rather refreshing. Just being authentically himself without any polish or primp or priming, it was nice to finally see someone truly enjoying fashion week without a hint of jadedness.

So here's to Shaun T, who just became the unexpected hero that fashion week never thought it need. Oh, and thanks for bringing the free gun show. That's always nice.
