Shine line hair will turn your head into a beautiful rainbow
It's almost summertime and that means turning over a new leaf and changing up your look. Ditch your one-tone hair color for shine line hair, the newest, hottest rainbow look that's blowing up on Instagram.
This colorful creation is a twist on splashlights, a 2014 hair trend that involves a horizontal band of bleached hair that goes from ear to ear to create the illusion of a laser beam hitting a certain spot on the hair.
Shine line hair still has the laser beam vibe, but now with a beautiful, bright rainbow effect. Unlike a rainbow ombre look with colors blended together, colorists create horizontal stripes of color to create the shine line. Usually, the roots and ends of the hair are kept the same color in order to lock in the prism, further emphasizing the colorful laser beam.
This is definitely NOT something you want to try at home. Please, do yourself a favor and get these pretty locks done by a professional. We're already weeping for all those brave souls who dare to venture on their own. We really don't want you to end up looking like a Troll doll. Be clear with your colorist and choose the colors that make you feel most like the magical summer fairy you are.
