Apple event teaches us that no one knows what Sia looks like

Are we Sia or are we dancer?

If there's anything we learned from Apple's iPhone 7 event, it's that the internet genuinely has no clue what Sia's face looks like.

No, seriously. After the singer performed her hit songs, "The Greatest" and "Chandelier" on Wednesday to close out the Apple keynote, photographs of Tim Cook and a Sia (maybe) look-alike began circulating on the internet.

Of course, since the singer keeps her face covered, a bunch of people assumed it was Sia based solely on the wig, which led to a great deal of confusion.

Though at first glance, one might think the person Tim Cook was showing the iPhone 7 Plus to was Sia, it was actually Sia's 13-year-old dancer, Maddie Ziegler (who dons the occasional Sia wig for performances).

Needless to say, the internet had a field day with the photos.

Many confused people weighed in on the identity debate...

Others were just too excited about Maddie's epic facial reactions to the iPhone 7...

And a select few clearly just had no idea what was happening...

The internet (and Tim Cook) may never truly know what Sia looks like.
